The touchscreen is an important part of any modern device: smartphone, tablet, laptop or ATM. If it does not work correctly, it can cause freezing, false positives or no response to touch.

How to Test a Touchscreen

Swipe your finger or stylus across the entire screen to test the response. Please note:

  • Missed touches.
  • Spontaneous activations.
  • Uneven multi-touch activation.

What to Do If the Touch Screen Does Not Work?

  • Restart the device — sometimes the problem is solved by a simple restart.
  • Remove the protective film/glass - they can interfere with correct operation.
  • Update the firmware — software errors can affect the touch screen.
  • Calibrate the screen (if there is such a function).
  • Contact the service — if the problem is hardware (broken display, damaged cable).
