How to test a DualShock 4

Connect the controller with a USB data cable or put it in Bluetooth pairing mode: press and hold the SHARE and PS buttons until the lightbar starts flashing rapidly.
Click “Connect DualShock 4”, select the controller in the browser dialog and grant access.
Press every button, rotate both sticks, squeeze the triggers, touch the touchpad and move the controller. Compare the live values with your actions.
Choose a lightbar color and test the two rumble motors at a comfortable intensity.

What does the test read?

The test displays digital buttons, analog sticks and triggers, up to two simultaneous touchpad contacts, raw gyroscope and accelerometer readings, battery level, charging state, connection type and HID report rate.
